Vénus

mannequin, bronze paint

private request and private collection

The greek classical goddess of love slimmed down, the aesthetic canon along the years has changed and has been standardized all over the world with the big amount of fashion communications. Using a shop window mannequin,leaving it without arms, painting it in bronze color refers obviously to the antic statues. the age of appearance, the obsessive relation with our body, the non acceptation of what and how it is, being always someone else, being an image, with modification, make-up, falsification, compulsive consummation of disposable things as well as being. That's the way contemporary humans behave, and the mannequin has never been as much as the model.
